HELLO! It’s Marigold! Winston said I could say hello here if I promised to leave him alone! That’s him and me in front! I love Winston so much! I can’t wait to go tell him about this! Right now my buddy Hattie Mae Hoovier is visiting and we run all day but he won’t play with us! We’re looking out the window on the right! Anyhoo! You’d love me if you met me and I love you! I love everybody! Hey, where’s Winnie?
So there are now TWO puppies here. Did I do something wrong? Do I have BO? Do I OFFEND? Just when I have one about trained, another one shows up. She has been here before and went away, and boy do I hope she is not staying. There are two upsides. One is that she keeps Marigold very busy and the other is that my hoomans keep them away from me so it is almost always the case that I am enjoying a quiet visit with Dad in his office, or EVEN BETTER, being alone in the house with Mom.
Mom likes to watch a show that sounds like Down! But the cool thing is that sometimes I get to watch it with her on the bed. Dad doesn’t like Down much so I get the bed and Mom to myself. Today was a great day! There were 3 car rides, chicken snacks and Down!
So, Christmas didn’t turn out so bad. I got to help everyone unwrap their gifts while the knucklehead puppies were banished outside.

Also Dad got Mom this replica of me. I don’t know that it’s a very good likeness. Mom said she would put treats for me in it and I think that will help Mom remember where my treats are and remind her to give me more. Because barking at her is just not producing enough treats.

So Dad was calling me “The Winch” because I seem to have a heart that is 3 sizes too small.
And Mom has had every Christmas movie under the sun on non-stop rotation since October or so. And I decided that Mom and Dad needed a nice Christmas present so I decided to be nice to the puppy for a little while. You know, sometimes.
Turns out, she’s not too terrible a hound to play with. She likes to sing when I’m singing which can be fun and makes Mom and Dad crazy. And she knows how to paw and play with toys so at least once a day, I make an effort to play with her. You know, in the spirit of Christmas.
I hear little kids who are good get presents. I like the sound of that. I’d like Pup-a-roni’s wrapped in Bacon if Santa is listening.
I hope I’ve been a good boy long enough!

We got to go home to see Nan and Pop! and for some reason the puppy came with us. I had a great time! I got to visit with Nan and Pop and hang out with Dad while he sat downstairs. The puppy was crazed the whole visit and Mom and Dad kept taking her somewhere and allowing me some peace and quiet.
Then, on the drive home, they said we had to stay at the doggie prison for Thanksgiving because of the puppy. Well, they might have said something about me visiting a new dog puppy. (what is it? raining puppies? What a catastrophe!) But I’m pretty sure it’s Marigold’s fault.
And if they call a prison Bones and Bacon, don’t you think we should get some bacon and some bones?
